For 50 years, the Packard Foundation has worked in collaboration with long-time partners on a wide range of activities to protect, preserve, and restore land throughout the North American West. Those efforts have included supporting scientific research that allows managers to better identify key conservation priorities, supporting work to improve land management policies, helping to build organizations engaged in western land conservation, supporting work to increase federal and state funding for conservation, and supporting the purchase of critical lands or easements protecting those lands.
On this site, you can explore an interactive map of the commitments we’ve made to land and easement acquisitions in the region and read stories highlighting milestones and activities that have contributed to the progress accomplished over the decades.
